Industry-led, volunteer-fueled; Cindependent Film Festival is Cincinnati’s home for independent filmmakers. Founded in 2017 by Producer and Director Allyson West, Cindependent returns for its long-awaited festival post Covid. Our team is now comprised of over 30 individuals committed to the success of a great festival. As Cincinnati's only all-genre, all-type film festival - we are dedicated to full audiences and life-changing experiences. The majority of films screen in the 556-seat Memorial Hall theater. Below in twin ballrooms are two full days of live screenplay reads from accepted screenwriters and classes by industry visionaries to ensure you leave our festival with more resources than you came in with. ArtWorks is an award-winning Greater Cincinnati nonprofit that creates community-based public art providing career opportunities for artists of all ages. ArtWorks has employed and trained over 3,500 professional artists and 4,000 youth, ages 14 – 24. The Purple People Bridge connects the communities of Newport, Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio together as a safe and well-maintained regional attraction that serves as a historic landmark, people connector, recreational trail, event space, and an iconic community asset that improves economic development and quality of life on both sides of the Ohio River. Since 2001, the Purple People Bridge Company have owned and operated the ever popular, “Purple People Bridge” – a pedestrian-only bridge that stretches 2,670 feet (.5 mile) across the Ohio River. Camp Joy

Camp Joy's vision is to inspire our guests to become better people, make a change within their community, and create a better world. The Camps Program provides a camp experience to the underserved youth. Children with special medical needs are served in addition to economically-disadvantaged youth in summer camp and retreat programs throughout the year. The Outdoor Education Program offers adventure-based learning, environmental education and living history to students of all grade levels.
