LouVino opened its first Restaurant & Wine Bar in Louisville, Kentucky, in 2014, simply aspiring to be a place you could enjoy a nice glass of wine with amazing food in a hip yet relaxed atmosphere without a pretentious feel. Since then, we have taken our southern inspired cuisine to four locations across Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio. Locally owned by Endeavor Restaurant Group, LouVino features an inspired menu created by renowned Chef Tavis Rockwell whose signature dishes include his Brussels sprouts salad, fried chicken tacos and loaded tots. We have an award-winning wine list with more than 40 approachable, yet refined options by the glass, and each restaurant features evolving seasonal specials, curated by each Executive Chef to provide a unique culinary experience at every LouVino. In 1963, the four Daoud brothers pulled together enough cash to purchase Hamburger Heaven in Cincinnati, Ohio. Along with burgers and fries came a recipe for Cincinnati-style chili. In 1965, they added flavor to the recipe with their secret 13-spice blend, changed the restaurant’s name to Gold Star and a chili legend was born. We challenged the template of typical back then and have been defying the status quo ever since. At Gold Star, we are unafraid to question convention and to venture beyond established boundaries.
