Thanks to the support of many, we were able to bring together 12 youth apprentices for a summer of art, creativity, mindfulness and connection in partnership with ArtWorks. These extraordinary young artists spent seven weeks making art, writing, photography and sculpture toward a book, mural, pocket park and exhibition about Planet Love, a place of kindness, acceptance and empathy.

Living in a human body is complicated. The True Body Project features simple, proven embodiment and creative practices to help us feel cohesive and connected to our selves and others.

join Art Equals at the newest pocket park in Camp Washington for a chance to add a little of your own creativity to the Sticks and Sewn project. The Sticks and Sewn project incorporate natural materials into a sculpture that represents the structure of community and protection. Come add your own piece to the sculpture in the form of a “cocoon” holding your intentions for the community and the Planet Love project in the form of a drawing, poem, or other creative idea. Art Equals will be on site with supplies, support, and inspiration as you engage with this growing project.

Visionaries + Voices presents their annual SHOW OF HANDS Puppet Festival, featuring free puppetry performances and workshops for all abilities, ages, and experiences.

FotoFocus and Creative Time present The Convening, a special series of public talks and performances in Cincinnati, featuring artists, critics, curators, and other distinguished guest speakers. A welcome event and performance will take place at Mecca on Friday, October 20, 2023, followed by a full day of discussions held at two venues: the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center and the Contemporary Arts Center, on Saturday, October 21, 2023.

The Hive is partnering with The Well, a Cincinnati-based nonprofit that works at the intersection of arts and wellness, to bring True Body Project to The Hive community. True Body Project, developed at The Well in 2005, is an experiential program centered on addressing chronic stress and trauma through the use of mindful, somatic, and expressive and healing arts practices that empower participants to find comfort and freedom in their bodies as they move through the human experience.

How do we find our footing in a world that rocks at every turn? Can we find meaning in the meaningless? And when we do, can we put it on speed dial? Join us on a journey into fantastical worlds where sidewalks never end, but they might find soul.
