Named “Male Singer of the Year” by the International Opera Awards (2017), he has graced top stages worldwide and received honors like the Marian Anderson Award and Opera News Award (2021).
Recent highlights include acclaimed debuts in Platée (Opéra National de Paris), Lucia di Lammermoor (Tokyo), and La Favorite (Houston). His signature Rossini roles include Otello and Le comte Ory. A Grammy nominee, his recordings feature rare Donizetti works and Rising (2023).
Brownlee is a Juilliard Visiting Faculty Member and serves as an advisor for Opera Philadelphia and Opera for Peace.
