ArtWorks is an award-winning Greater Cincinnati nonprofit that creates community-based public art providing career opportunities for artists of all ages. The organization collaborates with community organizations and residents, businesses, governments, foundations, and nonprofits to build creative works of art that bolster the region’s global reputation as an arts destination. ArtWorks has employed and trained over 3,500 professional artists and 4,000 youth, ages 14 – 24. We invest in our creative economy by creating jobs that support local talent, pairing professional artists to inspire and mentor diverse teams of youth, and helping them build 21st-century career-readiness skills. The 15th Annual Cincinnati Aruna Run expo will be held at MadTree Brewery in Oakley, Ohio on Sunday, September 1, 2024 from 9:00 am-3:00 p.m. This event will benefit the Aruna Project, a US non-profit dedicated to creating lifelong freedom for survivors of human trafficking through employment marked by holistic care. By providing empowerment through employment, Aruna creates lifelong freedom for women by helping them find their voice, experience independence, and develop a marketable job skill alongside a sisterhood of others who have overcome. Through its products and events, you can literally help set free and give the liberating power of choice to women like Reshma, Fathima, Pooja and so many others, while also celebrating freedom in your own adventure. The Aruna Run Race Series is the catalyst of the freedom process, with the money raised flowing into Aruna’s Training Centers in areas of high sexual exploitation in South Asia. Once freed, the women are offered full-time employment in Aruna’s Freedom Business, where they are trained to produce the line of Athleisure bags and headbands sold in its online store, at events, and at select retail locations. The proceeds from the sale of the products are reinvested into the Freedom Business to fund the holistic care each Artisan receives: a living wage, safe housing, healthcare, retirement savings, and counseling. In 2022, St. Aloysius and The Children’s Home integrated their organizations to become Greater Cincinnati’s most prolific nonprofit specializing in education, behavioral, and therapeutic and autism services for vulnerable and at-risk youth. Today, Best Point provides education and therapeutic treatment for children and their families facing social, behavioral and learning challenges. Through 30+ campus and community-based programs and services, we transform young lives, helping children succeed in their homes, schools and communities. In 2018, Cincinnati’s premier sneaker boutique, Corporate, and Bigger Than Sneakers (BTS) created the Annual Cincinnati SneakerBall, a fundraising event which features a picturesque evening of entertainment, tuxedos, gowns, and of course, sneakers. Join us on Saturday, August 5th at Hotel Covington for the 5th Annual Cincinnati SneakerBall! This celebration of sneaker culture and community will feature art, music, engaging activations, and the opportunity to connect with top professionals, influencers, and sports figures in the city – all in support of a great cause. The mission of the Building Industry Association of Northern Kentucky is to promote and enhance the integrity and visibility of the construction industry and the members of the organization through advocacy, communication, education and political action. Founded in Covington in 1955 by 16 residential contractors, the BIA of Northern Kentucky has grown to become one of the nation’s largest chapters of the National Association of Home Builders. The organization’s jurisdiction covers 12 counties including Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Mason, Pendleton, Fleming, Robertson and Owen. Association membership represents approximately 10,000 persons employed in the construction industry. Camp Joy's vision is to inspire our guests to become better people, make a change within their community, and create a better world. The Camps Program provides a camp experience to the underserved youth. Children with special medical needs are served in addition to economically-disadvantaged youth in summer camp and retreat programs throughout the year. The Outdoor Education Program offers adventure-based learning, environmental education and living history to students of all grade levels.
